Uber is hiring for the role of Software Engineer II (Growth & Marketing Platform)!
Responsibilities of the Candidate:
- Complete Revamp of the Attribution System for Uber consisting of real-time and batch system
- Create scalable services Services which can handle 1000+ QPS
Requirements:
- Knowledge of data structures and architectural principles
- Ability to discuss tradeoffs between architectural choices, both theoretically and in real-world application
- Advanced proficiency in at least one programming language (Python, Golang, or Java)
- Willingness to learn additional languages
- Experience with distributed systems such as Hadoop, Hive, Spark, Kafka, and Vertica (preferred)
- Strong understanding of SQL and databases
- Experience in building data pipelines is a plus
- Comfortable implementing custom ETLs to transform raw data into valuable information
- Thrives on learning new technologies
- Adaptable to meet the needs of rapid growth and evolving business environments
- Belief in the synergy of teamwork
- Values candid feedback for continuous improvement
- Ability to comprehend requirements beyond written specifications
- Attention to detail for creating a delightful user experience in various scenarios (APIs, internal tools, customer-facing features)
