Veralto is hiring for the role of Software Engineer II!

Responsibilities of the Candidate:

• Designing and developing software applications. Involved in analyzing user requirements and designing software applications to ensure they are free from defects and function as intended to help ensure software quality.
• Maintaining software applications to ensure they continue to function properly. This may involve fixing bugs, updating software, and adding new features.
• Collaborating with team members of developers, testers, and project managers. They must be able to communicate effectively and work collaboratively with others to ensure project success.
• Staying up-to-date on industry trends and technologies to ensure they are using the best tools and techniques available.
• Providing technical support to users of the software they develop. This may involve troubleshooting problems, answering questions, and providing training to users.
• Documenting software development processes that inculdes design decisions, testing results, and maintenance activities. Design, develop, and maintain complex software applications using best practices and industry standards.
• Identifies and drives adoption of relevant new tools, processes, and frameworks within the project across SDLC and trains the team in these areas.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• 3+ years of experience in software development with expertise in one or more programming languages such as Java and Javascript.
• Develop, deploy, and maintain cloud-native applications using AWS services, Java, and React.
• Design and implement RESTful APIs and microservices architecture.
• Good knowledge of software development methodologies, design patterns, and best practices.
• Good understanding of database design and development with SQL and/or NoSQL databases.
• Experience with Agile software development methodologies, including Scrum or Kanban.
• Excellent communication, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively with team members and other stakeholders.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills in English, including ability to understand advanced technical documentation
• Proficiency with agile software development tools like JIRA, GitHub, etc.
• Good analytical skills and self-initiative to learn new technologies
