HERE is hiring for the role of Software Engineer II !

Responsibilities of Candidates:

• Develop software that is well-crafted & steadily adds business value, as part of a community of professionals
• Engage with internal customers for requirements, change requests and incidents to help define application specifications.
• Analyze the scope of new enhancements and estimate the efforts required.
• Own one or more components of software architecture in the immediate environment.
• Be part of an agile team, share knowledge, do code reviews, pro-active communication.
• Drive and improve engineering best practices (e.g., Agile, coding, verification)
• Contribute towards complex, cross-subsystem/product designs.

Requirements:

• 2 to 4 years backend application development experience – Java 1.8+/Scala
• Hand-on experience in REST, GIT, Tomcat
• Basic knowledge about SQL and Shell scripting
• Infrastructure experience: Maven/SBT, GIT/GERRIT, CI/CD processes, Linux Environment
• Design patterns knowledge is a must
• Knowledge of data structures and algorithms is must
• Experience with Apache Spark, Amazon Web Services and AWS EMR is considered a plus.
• Solid knowledge of programming practices, strive to write great code that is reusable, flexible, and reliable.
• You are a fast learner, with an eye for detail, strong problem-solving and debugging skills.
• Self-motivated, well-organized, details-oriented and a strong team player with an agile mindset
• Strong quality mindset is considered a must: unit testing and test-driven development.
• Very good communication skills in English both written and spoken
