RELX is hiring for the role of Software Engineer II

Responsibilities of the Candidate:

• Writing and reviewing portions of detailed specifications for the development of system components of moderate complexity.
• Completing simple bug fix.
• Working closely with other development team members to understand product requirements and translate them into software designs.
• Operating in various development environments (Agile, Waterfall, etc.) while; collaborating with key stakeholders.
• Resolving technical issues as necessary and keeping abreast of new technology developments.

Requirements :

• BS Engineering/Computer Science or equivalent experience required
• 1+ Years of Experience in development and maintenance using Quickbase, Quickbase API, and Pipelines
• Experience in building custom applications, and developing custom pages using both Quickbase API as well as regular Quickbase interface
• Need to work on existing applications and workflows, as well as, creating new applications or new functionalities to existing applications
• Experience in relational databases, data modeling, and system integrations.
• Have experience in writing and optimizing Quickbase formulas, JavaScript, HTML, and CSS for customizations
• Develop, automate, and maintain data feeds using scripting languages into and out of the application
• Experience in Python and API development using rest API.
• Have experience in scripting languages like JavaScript to develop and configure customized Quickbase applications.
• Experience in software development methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall, data manipulation languages, data storage subsystems, and test-driven development
• Performs, monitoring, maintenance, or reporting on real-time QuickBase data
• Certified QB in APP Builder and Expert Builder
• Experience in requirement gathering and designing/implementing them
• Troubleshooting and resolution of technical issues
• Identify and build integrations with other business tools/applications to optimize processes
• Build reports and dashboards for end-users and management
• Have the ability and desire to learn new processes and technologies
• Have good oral and written communication skills
