Microsoft is hiring for the role of Software Engineer IC2!

Responsibilities of the Candidate:

• Be hands-on and develop ETL solutions using distributed computing, bringing innovative approaches that continuously improve our ability to deliver faster, better, and cheaper solutions while reducing the time and cost to build BI and analytics solutions and on-board with the highest quality.
• Interface with extended team members (Program managers and support team members) to ensure the highest quality solutions are delivered to our customers.
• Develop high-quality code solutions with an emphasis on quality, simplicity, and maintainability while ensuring sound instrumentation and telemetry into the solutions and measuring Availability and Operational Intelligence metrics.
• Work with your peers on big data, and Hadoop technologies collaborate across Azure teams in big data, and adopt in the Supply Chain BI solutions.
• Apply industry best practice transformation and modeling techniques – validate the output to ensure reliable and accurate results for consumption by downstream data teams and end users.
• Drive development projects to evolve our supply chain platform and operations, leveraging the newest Microsoft technologies available to us.
• Contribute to the success of the Supply chain platform by trying out and testing new products and features, contributing to the design and development of major enhancements in the platform.
• Work directly with business stakeholders to refine requirements, iterate, and finalize design, deliver working proofs of concept, and develop final data solutions.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, or related technical discipline with proven experience coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python o OR equivalent experience.
• 2+ years of enterprise software design and development experience.
• Strong technical expertise in Hadoop, ADLS, HDInsight, ADF, ADW, etc. with a good understanding and experience of working on the Azure Analytics stack.
• Extensive knowledge and experience in data warehousing, data processing (ETL), e-metrics/measurement, business intelligence, information retrieval, parallel and distributed computation – Spark (PY-Spark).
• Experience in the implementation of Cloud Computing concepts and platforms.
• Experience in analyzing very large real-world datasets and hands-on approach in data analytics.
• Experience with Test Driven Development, Continuous Integration, Continuous Deployment, Telemetry etc. Great design and problem-solving skills, with a strong bias for quality and engineering excellence.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
