Tomtom is hiring for the role of Software Engineer I!

Responsibilities of the Candidate:

• Designing and developing software: Creating high-quality software solutions for TomTom products, such as the Search API or navigation SDK 
• Collaborating with teams: Working with cross-functional teams to understand requirements and deliver solutions 
• Testing and debugging: Developing and executing test plans and cases to ensure software quality 
• Optimizing performance: Improving system performance and search algorithms to ensure reliable search results 
• Documenting: Developing and maintaining technical documentation to share knowledge and ensure project continuity.

Requirements:

• A bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a similar field
• At least one year of professional experience in software development using a modern programming language like Java, C++, or Scala
• A strong understanding of computer science and development fundamentals, including object-oriented design, data structures, algorithm design, and complexity analysis
• The ability to communicate in English, both verbally and in writing
• A desire to learn and expand your skills
• The ability to solve complex problems independently using your experience and other resources
