American Express is hiring for the role of Software Engineer I!

Responsibilities of the Candidate:

• Develop and maintain software solutions for Regulatory Reporting technology teams, addressing commitments to the US Fed Reserve and International markets.
• Utilize core Java, multi-threading, and performance tuning for backend development.
• Process large data volumes using Oracle DB and Hive.
• Implement and optimize solutions using Apache Flink, Apache Airflow, and PySpark.
• Implement test automation, CI/CD, and utilize GitHub Actions.
• Demonstrate domain knowledge in Regulatory reporting, with experience in reports like FRY9C and 2052A being preferred.
• Design generic frameworks for bulk data processing.
• Work with microservices, Spring Boot, and JavaScript.
• Showcase excellent problem-solving skills and a proactive "can-do" attitude.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's/Master's degree in Computer Science or relevant.
• Strong proficiency in core Java, multi-threading, and backend development.
• Extensive experience in processing large datasets using Oracle DB and Hive.
• Proficiency in Apache Flink, Apache Airflow, and PySpark.
• Hands-on experience with test automation, CI/CD, and GitHub Actions.
• Domain knowledge in Regulatory reporting, with experience in reports like FRY9C and 2052A preferred.
• Proven experience in designing generic frameworks for bulk data processing.
• Competence in microservices, Spring Boot, and JavaScript.
