Software Engineer - Ansible Devtools Job in Bengaluru at Red Hat

Red Hat is hiring for the role of Software Engineer - Ansible Devtools!

Responsibilities of the Candidate:

• Create new features/projects for tooling; contribute these features to upstream projects
• Submit patches for bug fixes to the community; review patches from other community members
• Educate the team on new features through pull request reviews or small team presentations
• Write unit tests, integration tests
• Work closely with the Ansible Content team to ensure the requirements are met
• Work with the Quality Engineering team to ensure projects are tested correctly
• Work with the productization team for releases
• Publicize the work the team is doing via blogs, web postings, or conference talks

Requirements:

• 2+ years of experience with software development in JavaScript, ReactJS, TypeScript, and Python
• Experience with the VS Code extension is a plus
• Experience with GitHub, GitLab, or other collaborative code forges
• Experience with GitHub Action or any other CI/CD
• Passion for open-source technologies; previous experience with open-source communities and development is a plus
• Solid object-oriented software development skills
• Experience with unit tests, integration testing
• Experience with automated testing tools
• Ability to learn container technologies and Kubernetes
• Practical experience using the Linux operating system including Bash scripting
• Familiarity with various deployment models, including cloud, virtualization, and containers
• Should be able to collaborate with cross-functional teams
