Natwest Group is hiring for the role of Software Engineer!

Responsibilities of the Candidate:

• Producing complex and critical software rapidly and of high quality which adds value to the business
• Working in permanent teams who are responsible for the full life cycle, from initial development, through enhancement and maintenance to replacement or decommissioning
• Collaborating to optimise our software engineering capability
• Designing, producing, testing and implementing our working code
• Working across the life cycle, from requirements analysis and design, through coding to testing, deployment and operations

Requirements:

• Experience of working with development & testing tools, bug tracking tools and wikis
• Experience in designing and engineering software with the customer or user experience, including but not limited to internationalization and accessibility, as the primary objective
• Experience of DevOps, Testing and Agile methodology and associated toolsets
• Defining and develop roadmaps of application and software components to meet business and technical requirements, driving common usability across products and domains
• Work within a platform or feature team along with other software engineers to design and engineer complex software, scripts and tools to enable the delivery of bank platforms, applications and services, acting as a point of contact for solution design considerations
• Exposure of engineering and design solutions with a focus on end-to-end automation, simplification, resilience, security, performance, scalability and reusability
