Fortive is hiring for the role of Software Engineer!

Responsibilities of the candidate:

• Collaborate with the development team to design, develop, and implement test cases for software applications.
• Assist in creating and maintaining automated test scripts for regression, functional, and performance testing.
• Participate in manual testing processes to ensure software quality and reliability.
• Debug and troubleshoot software issues, providing detailed feedback to the development team.
• Document test results and maintain comprehensive test reports.
• Engage in agile development practices and participate in team meetings to discuss testing progress and identify potential improvements.
• Ensure adherence to testing best practices and contribute to continuous improvement of testing strategies.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree (or currently enrolled) in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• Strong foundational knowledge in software development and testing methodologies.
• Familiarity with C++, object-oriented programming, python and software debugging tools.
• Basic understanding of software testing tools and processes (e.g., manual testing, automated testing).
• Attention to detail and excellent problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
• Previous experience in software testing or related coursework is a plus.
