Harness is hiring for the role of Software Engineer!

Responsibilities of the Candidate:

• Design, develop, and maintain critical software in a fast-paced, quality-conscious environment.
• Author software functional specifications and design documents
• Quickly understand complex systems or codes and own key pieces of the system, including the delivered quality
• Design and implementation of scalable algorithms.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot complex problems in a distributed computing environment.
• Perform peer reviews of specifications, designs, and code.
• Work alongside Site Reliability Engineers and cross-functional teams to diagnose/troubleshoot any production performance-related issues.
• Own the End-to-end cycle of design, development, and deployment and the service in terms of monitoring, observability, scaling, reliability, etc.

Requirements:

• Passion for designing elegant experiences that are approachable and just a bit playful.
• Experience with JavaScript and other front-end technologies, such as HTML and CSS
• Experience with any of ReactJS, AngularJS, BackboneJS, KnockoutJS, or EmberJS.
• Experience with responsive design and a deep understanding of object-oriented design.
• Experience with performance debugging and benchmarking.
• Expertise in turning a design into cleanly architected HTML and CSS.
• Entrepreneurial spirit, priding yourself on getting things done with a high level of quality
• Strong desire to work in an unstructured, fast-moving startup environment
• Tech degree in CS or equivalent with 2-4 years of industry experience
