New Relic is hiring for the role of Software Engineer!

Responsibilities of the Candidate:

• Meet with the development team to discuss user interface ideas and applications.
• Review application requirements and interface designs.
• Identify web-based user interactions.
• Develop and implement highly responsive user interface components using React concepts.
• Write application interface codes using JavaScript following React.js workflows.
• Troubleshoot interface software and debug application codes.
• Develop and implement front-end architecture to support user interface concepts.
• Build reusable components and front-end libraries for future use.
• Monitor and improve front-end performance.
• Document application changes and develop updates.
• Optimize components for maximum performance across a vast array of web-capable devices and browsers.
• Familiarize with newer specifications of EcmaScript.
• Familiarize with RESTful APIs.
• Understand databases, proxies, APIs, version control systems, and third-party applications.
• Experience or familiarity with server-side logic, definition, and maintenance of the central database.
• Familiarize with code versioning tools such as Git.
• Experience with common front-end development tools such as Babel, Webpack, NPM, etc.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, or a similar field.
• Previous experience working as a React.js developer.
• In-depth knowledge of JavaScript, CSS, HTML, and front-end languages.
• Knowledge of REACT tools, including React.js, Webpack, Enzyme, Redux, and Flux.
• Experience with user interface design.
• Knowledge of performance testing frameworks, including Mocha and Jest.
• Experience with browser-based debugging and performance testing software.
• Proficiency or knowledge in back-end programming languages, including PHP, Python, Ruby, Java, .NET, etc.
• Experience or knowledge with database integration, hosting environment management, and scaling.
• Familiarity in core AWS web-enabling technologies is an added advantage.
• Excellent troubleshooting skills.
• Familiarity with and experience with the technologies PHP, Python, C++, Java, and Ruby is an advantage to succeeding quickly in this role.
• Knowledge of basic algorithms and data structures.
• Responsibility for building and maintaining functional and stable web applications.
• Excellent programming skills and an appetite for developing innovative applications.
