Software Engineer Job in Bangalore at Motorola Solutions

Motorola Solutions is hiring for the role of Software Engineer!

Responsibilities of the Candidate:

• Design and implement services that save lives (literally)
• Define and meet scalability, availability, security, and performance goals
• Research and experiment with key technologies, architectures, and standards
• Assist with supporting Production systems (includes troubleshooting issues and aiming for resolution)
• Understand complex technical details and build test methodologies for them
• You are required on-call work for services developed by the team

Requirements:

• BS/MS in Computer Science (or equivalent degree) with 2 years of professional software development
• Familiarity with modern development operations tooling (Trace-based application performance monitoring, docker containers, and similar)
• A working understanding of at least one server-side language (Java preferred)
• Experience with the development of custom network services (HTTP, WebSockets)
• A background in Linux/Unix Administration
• Prior experience being on-call for services developed by the team
• Demonstrated experience developing and deploying services on Microsoft Azure
• ELK Stack, Prometheus, Shell Scripting, Kubernetes
• Azure Cloud Services such as Azure Event Hub, Active Directory
• Databases
• Python
• Experience with web infrastructure and distributed systems; Background in services and cloud computing (Microsoft Azure or Amazon Web Services) is a plus
• Develop quality scalable, tested, and reliable applications using industry best practices
• Experience with Java and scripting languages
• Working experience with AWS/Azure public cloud services (others are good too)
• Expertise in at least one of the following: API design and development, performance analysis and capacity planning, SQL and NoSQL databases, Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery (CI/CD), and test-driven development (TDD)
• Strong level of curiosity and interest to learn, problem solver
• Good communication skills (English)
