Rocket Software is hiring for the role of Software Engineer!

Responsibilities of the Candidate:

• Understand end-user requirements
• Write commercial/enterprise-grade software
• Provide input on designs for software enhancements and new products
• Document and communicate on technical topics without direction
• Seek to shadow other Engineers; working to debug customer issues
• Work under the limited direction of a manager and/or team lead to implement software enhancements, correct defects, and/or create new products
• Understand hardware and software systems
• Works well in a team
• Exercise curiosity

Requirements:

• Minimum of 2+ years of software engineering experience
• Ability to identify the presence of code problems & bring them to the attention of senior engineers for resolution
• 2+ years’ of relevant Java software engineering experience, developing commercially successful applications that are scalable, highly available, and expose robust APIs
• Strong knowledge of data structures, algorithms, and databases
• Mastery of Enterprise Java, database, JDBC
• Experience with Sprint Boot
• Experience with Database (Preferred Db2)
• Experience with the Agile development methodology
• Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills to deal professionally and collaboratively with all levels of the organization and across geographies
• Proven track record of software development in the real world
• Proficient in one or more programming languages
