GE Healthcare is hiring for the role of Software Engineer!

Responsibilities of the Candidate:

• Collaborate with software developers and imaging teams to implement solutions that are aligned with and extend shared platforms and solutions.
• Apply Agile principles of Software Development Life Cycle and methodologies, Software and Product Security, Scalability, Documentation Practices, refactoring, and Testing Techniques.
• Write codes that meet standards and deliver desired functionality using the technology selected for the project.
• Build common microservices for the Healthcare Imaging platform and healthcare solution using a microservices architecture.
• Participate in grooming, PI planning, sprint reviews, and demos.
• Perform Technical feasibility assessment and share outcomes that help conclude technology decisions.
• Understand performance parameters, assess application performance, and address security issues.
• Ensure unit test automation using BDD and consistent code quality by adhering to SONAR quality gates.
• Manages formal verification and release activities.
• Coordinate with internal team members and other imaging teams for platform integration and defect fixes.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or in “STEM” Majors (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math).
• Master’s Degree in Computer Science/Maths or related field.
• Minimum of 2 + years of software development experience.
• Experience in containerization technologies like Kubernetes/Docker.
• HELM Charts, YAML, Ansible, Python, Shell scripting.
• Rest-based microservice development using GO/Python/Java.
• BDD-based automated testing using Cucumber.
• Good communication and presentation skills.
