Avalara is hiring for the role of Software Engineer!
Responsibilities of the Candidate:
- Designing and developing services and components to be used in the cloud environment
- Support production systems
- Bring an operational/DevOps mindset to the team
- Be introspective, always trying to improve yourself and the team around you
- Drive technical excellence
- Work in agile systems
Requirements:
- Education - Bachelor Degree in Comp Sci or higher
- 1-3 Years of relevant experience required
- Expert level proficiency in Java and/or .Net Framework and C#
- Solid understanding of OOP concepts
- Strong design skills
- Knowledge of Cloud Platforms (AWS/GCP)
- Knowledge of DB (PostgreSQL, MySQL, SQL Server)
- Knowledge of Kafka, IoT is desirable
- Experience in cloud-native applications
- Experience with CI/CD
