Software Development Engineer in Test II Job at Akamai Technologies

Akamai is hiring for the role of Software Developer!

Responsibility of the Candidate:

• Driving the testing activities of observability solutions for Akamai Cloud (formerly Linode) services
• Testing, profiling, and monitoring code performance
• Participating in the design, development, improvement, operation, and automation of observability solutions for Akamai Cloud (formerly Linode) services
• Following modern DevOps practices, building new services, or enhancing the existing ones
• Partnering with product owners, development, and test groups to create rapid cycles of feedback and improvement
• Diagnosing system performance and reliability together with the team of Site Reliability Engineers

Requirements:

• Collaborate and effectively communicate with multidisciplinary teams to solve technical and business challenges
• Have knowledge of quality assurance practices required for rapid cycles of SDLC
• Have working experience of testing frameworks and tools like Postman in API/UI test automation
• Have experience in programming and automating processes using modern programming languages
• Have experience with developing software in GNU/Linux or Unix environment
• Demonstrate experience with working with Internet protocols including TCP/IP, HTTP, DNS, and TLS/SSL
• Have a Bachelor's diploma in Computer Science, Engineering, another related field
