SS&C is hiring for the role of Software Development Engineer In Test !

Responsibilities of the Candidate:

• Test Automation Development: Develop and maintain automated test scripts
• Test Planning and Design: Analyze requirements and create detailed, comprehensive, and well-structured test plans and test cases.
• Participate in Test case Review
• Manual Testing (when necessary): Perform exploratory, usability, and acceptance testing to ensure the application behaves as expected.
• Defect Management: Identify, document, and report bugs using tools like Xray.
• Continuous Improvement: Analyze test results to identify patterns of failure and areas of improvement.
• Contribute to improving testing processes and workflows.
• Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including developers, product managers, and operations teams, to clarify requirements and priorities.
• Participate in daily stand-ups, sprint planning, and retrospectives to align testing activities with development progress.
• Code Reviews: Review automated test code written by team members to ensure quality and adherence to coding standards and provide constructive Feedback

Requirements:

• Should have 2-5 years of experience in full time SEIT role
• Good at STLC life cycle.
• Hands on experience with functional testing
• Should have experience with end-end phases of test automation
• Good understanding of QA processes and methodologies.
• Ability to write SQL queries & stored procedures.
• Should have excellent communication skills
• Should be able to communicate with different stake holders and take things forward with minimum or no hand holding
• Should be able to drive things independently
• Should have experience with any of the following tools Test Complete/Cypress/React
• Hands on experience in programming preferably in Java/Java Script/Python/C# languages
• Automation experience at API/REST and UI level
• Develop, maintain and execute automated tests
• Experience with Jenkins - CI/CD.
• Performance Testing Experience with Locust is a plus
• Experience in TDD/BDD testing process is a plus
• Willing to learn new tools/technologies as required to fulfill the job
