Amazon is hiring for the role of Software Development Engineer - TAA Pay Data & Policy Computation!

Responsibilities of the Candidates:

• Design, develop, and maintain a low-latency, highly scalable policy computation and storage layer to support pay policies across multiple businesses and regions
• Use cutting-edge technologies from AWS to build and implement solutions that meet the needs of over 2 million hourly associates
• Work with a team of engineers to develop and deliver new features and improvements to the Time and Attendance system
• Participate in the design and implementation of new pay policies and ensure that they are accurately and efficiently computed
• Work with other People Technology teams to integrate the Time and Attendance system with other HR systems
• Troubleshoot and debug issues with the Time and Attendance system
• Monitor and improve the performance and scalability of the Time and Attendance system
• Keep up to date with the latest technologies and trends in the pay data and policy computation space

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field
• 2-3+ Years of non-internship experience in professional software development along with good understanding the design and architecture of new and existing systems experience
• Strong programming skills in Java, Python, or C++
• Experience with AWS technologies, such as DynamoDB, Kinesis, and Lambda
• Experience with relational databases, such as MySQL or PostgreSQL
• Experience with distributed caching systems, such as Redis or Memcached
• Experience with unit testing and test-driven development
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
