Zee Entertainment is hiring for the role of Software Development Engineer!

Responsibilities of the Candidate:

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services using Java (Spring Boot) and Python (FastAPI).
• Work with NoSQL (MongoDB) and SQL (PostgreSQL) databases, ensuring efficient data storage and retrieval.
• Implement caching strategies using Redis to optimize application performance.
• Develop event-driven architectures using Kafka and Google Pub/Sub for real-time data processing.
• Containerize applications using Docker and orchestrate deployments with Kubernetes.
• Optimize system performance by identifying bottlenecks and implementing improvements.
• (If applicable) Work with FFMPEG for video/audio processing and optimization.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (DevOps, QA, Product) to deliver high-quality software.
• Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code following best practices.
• Troubleshoot and debug production issues in a timely manner.

Requirements:

• 1+ years of hands-on experience in backend development.
• Strong proficiency in:Java (Spring Boot)
• Python (FastAPI)
• MongoDB & PostgreSQL
• Redis (caching strategies)
• Kafka / Google Pub-Sub (event streaming)
• Docker & Kubernetes (containerization & orchestration)
• Experience in performance tuning, scalability, and system optimization.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and cloud platforms (AWS/GCP/Azure).
• Knowledge of FFMPEG (for media processing) is a plus.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in an agile environment.
• Good understanding of microservices architecture and RESTful APIs.
