Jupiter Money is hiring for the role of Software Development Engineer - 1 Backend!

Responsibilities of the Candidate:

• Own and manage a product/platform component from end-to-end, collaborating with Product and Design/UX teams.
• Write efficient and readable code.
• Develop, implement, profile, and optimize algorithms for backend components/services.
• Ensure compliance with build and configuration management processes.
• Create and execute quality plans, project plans, test strategies, and processes in alignment with business and project management efforts.
• Design High-Level Designs (HLDs) and Low-Level Designs (LLDs) based on user requirements.

Requirements:

• 1-2 years of experience in building backend microservices.
• Proficient in coding on the JVM stack using Java or Kotlin, with a focus on writing secure, testable, and maintainable code.
• Ability to translate designs into code using software engineering best practices.
• Skilled in selecting appropriate algorithms, data structures, and design patterns for given problem statements.
• Understanding of software maintenance characteristics, runtime properties, and dependencies.
• Experience with CI/CD stacks such as GoCD or Spinnaker.
• Capability to identify software defects by reviewing code errors, log files, and metrics.
• Experience in public cloud environments like AWS; familiarity with Kubernetes and monitoring stacks such as Prometheus and Grafana is a plus.
