Coherent is hiring for the role of Software Developer!

Responsibilities of the Candidate:

• Assist in developing, testing, and maintaining backend services using Golang under the guidance of senior engineers.
• Help design and optimize databases to manage insurance-related data efficiently.
• Work with DevOps teams to understand CI/CD pipelines, containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), and cloud deployments (AWS/GCP).
• Participate in troubleshooting and performance optimization to ensure system reliability.
• Follow security best practices in API development and data protection to meet insurance compliance standards.
• Learn and contribute to microservices architecture and integrations with third-party insurance platforms.
• Collaborate with insurance domain experts to understand and contribute to applications supporting policy administration, claims processing, underwriting, and other insurance workflows.

Requirements:

• 1+ years of Golang development experience in building enterprise applications.
• Exposure to databases (SQL or NoSQL) through coursework or projects is helpful, but proficiency is not expected.
• Curiosity about event-driven systems or message queues (Kafka, RabbitMQ) is a bonus, but no prior experience needed.
• Eagerness to solve problems and collaborate in an agile team—your growth mindset matters most!
• Awareness of security principles (e.g., authentication, data protection) is nice to have, but we’ll guide you on compliance.
• Interest in learning API development (REST, GraphQL) and backend architecture.
• Familiarity with DevOps concepts (CI/CD, containers, cloud) is beneficial, but hands-on experience with tools like Docker, Kubernetes, or AWS/GCP is not required.
