Oracle is hiring for the role of Software Developer 3!

Responsibilities of the Candidate:

• Lead the design and implementation of key parts of the service autonomously and in collaboration with team members.
• Write efficient, understandable, debuggable, and testable code to handle large-scale transactions.
• Design services for development on cloud platforms with strong skills.
• Automate the entire CI/CD pipeline.
• Understand the OCI ecosystem and the broader Oracle ecosystem on the Cloud, including data processing, management, and retrieval aspects.
• Comprehend the large-scale batch and streaming job process.
• Improve the performance, reliability, and scalability of compute, storage, and networking infrastructure resources continuously.
• Stay informed of new technologies and propose enhancements.
• Troubleshoot with a deep understanding of our services and dependencies to respond quickly and efficiently to major incidents, minimizing service disruptions.
• Support environment setup and service deployment from Dev to Production environments.
• Provide customer support with expertise in cutting-edge products and technologies like Oracle Data and AI technologies, and support services on Oracle Cloud computing infrastructure.

Requirements:

• BE degree in CS, EE, or equivalent
• 3+ years of software engineering or DevOps experience in supporting cloud services in production
• Prior experience in building large-scale data analytics systems in the cloud, such as Spark, Hadoop, Flink, Etc
• Solid understanding of and experience with Linux, Containers, Docker and Kubernetes Solid understanding of networking concepts (like TCP/IP, SSL, etc.) 
• Strong programming skills in Java; Python or Scala is a plus
• Strong motivation to work with the users to build a product that delighted customers
• Solid foundation in data structures, algorithms, and software design with strong analytical and debugging skills
• Experience with agile processes and a general understanding of product development Familiarity with cloud operations and security practices in web application delivery
• Multitasking – the ability to work on multiple tasks at once 
• Handling of on-calls for supporting production environments at scale
• Problem-solving skills – use problem-solving skills to isolate and solve problems with programs to keep progress on track 
• Strong communication and analytical skills
