LSEG is hiring for the role of Site Reliability Engineer!

Responsibilities of the Candidate:

• Analyze departmental needs, identify vulnerabilities, and enhance productivity, efficiency, and accuracy for informed business decisions.
• Maintain critical IT operations, encompassing operating systems, security tools, applications, software, and hardware.
• Assess current processes, technologies, and resources to pinpoint areas for improvement.
• Provide training to employees on software and hardware, troubleshoot issues, and offer technical support as required.
• Analyze complex systems, and design and implement software-based solutions for infrastructure/site monitoring, including availability, latency, and performance telemetry.
• Demonstrate expertise in capacity planning, change management, emergency response planning, and efficiency improvements.
• Work with limited direction and guidance on most tasks.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a highly technical, scientific discipline.
• Experience in evaluating, deploying, operating, and troubleshooting DataDog.
• Proficiency in implementing, configuring, and testing solutions.
• Background in operating, designing, and building large-scale, production-grade systems.
• Proficient in Unix/Linux (shell), Windows Server, and scripting.
• Observability skills with DataDog.
• Familiarity with SRE or DevOps engineering practices.
• Preferred qualifications include creative and analytical thinking, an understanding of large-scale private cloud/data center networking, and experience working with BigPanda.
