BT Group is hiring for the role of Site Reliability Engineer!

Responsibilities of the Candidate:

• Execute software solutions, design, development, and technical troubleshooting with the ability to think beyond routine or conventional approaches to build solutions or break down technical problems.
• Create secure and high-quality code and maintain the tools that run synchronously with appropriate systems.
• Develop scripts for automating complex business journeys and remove TOIL.
• Gather, analyze, synthesize, and develop visualizations and reporting from large, diverse data sets in service of continuous improvement of software applications and systems.
• Identify hidden problems and patterns in data and use these insights to drive improvements.
• Contribute to software engineering communities of practice and events that explore new and emerging technologies.
• Add to the team culture of diversity, equity, inclusion, and respect.

Requirements:

• A Bachelor's or Master’s degree in a relevant field 
•  Experience 2-5 years
•  Experience in tools like ServiceNow and GitHub
•  Formal training or certification in software engineering concepts and 2+ years of applied experience
•  Hands-on practical experience in application development and operational stability
•  Experience in developing, debugging, and maintaining code in an environment with one or more modern programming languages and database querying languages
•  Solid understanding of agile methodologies such as CI/CD, Application Resiliency, and Security
•  Experience in observability monitoring, service level objective alerting, and telemetry collection using tools such as Grafana, Dynatrace, Datadog, Splunk
