Settlement Analyst Job in Gurgaon at Ameriprise Financial

Ameriprise Financial is hiring for the role of Settlement Analyst!

Responsibilities of the Candidate:

• Contact brokers or review electronic trade matching to ensure domestic and international trades are matched on key trade information.
• Instruct the custodians to ensure timely settlements of all domestic and international transactions for all products and security types.
• Instruct on derivative and currency transactions as needed Processing of unit dealing instructions and fund to fund to orders on Claude
• Work closely with Trading teams to resolve any trade questions or corrections.
• Identify trends of failed trades to reduce risk for missing or incorrect instructions, or system limitations.
• Support Prime Broker processes including collateral monitoring, administrator correspondence, oversight, etc.
• Provide support for various projects/initiative for the Product/ Front office/ business
• Provide testing of systems, generate ad-hoc reports and assist in miscellaneous projects, as needed, for enhancements or regulatory requirements.
• Provide quality service and information to partners/clients.
• Manage relationships with brokers, custodians, prime brokers, vendors, sub-advisors and traders to ensure professional relationships
• Maintain Settlements Instruction database with broker instructions.
• Attend team meetings, leader regular meetings, trainings and contribution to innovation/process improvements in the function

Requirements:

• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• 1-3 years of relevant experience
• Ability to collaborate and work effectively with peers, staff and business partners.
• Strong decision-making abilities.
• Excellent problem-solving and strong analytical abilities.
• Mutual Fund Industry knowledge a must.
• Proficient in MS Office applications
