Senior Specialist - Li-ion Battery Pack Job in Chennai at Royal Enfield

Royal Enfield is hiring for the role of Senior Specialist - Li-ion Battery Pack!

Responsibilities of the Candidate:

• Create LV/HV architectural concepts or designs based on requirements
• Design, develop, and release system specifications for HV & LV battery packs for automotive applications
• Create SOR & select various electrical, electronics & electromechanical components for EV li-ion battery packs based on engineering calculations, durability and reliability, and evaluation of component and systems
• Assess performance and functionality of HV/LV electrical components based on requirements
• Quantify the performance of different architecture choices and optimize architecture choices according to the cost function
• Create 3D models and optimize wire, and busbar routing using CAD software (preferably Creo)
• Create & release 2D manufacturing drawings, SLD, schematics, block diagrams, and production documentation
• Perform DFMEA and develop DVP for validation of components & systems
• Provide input for finalizing mechanical joining technology for electrical components
• Supervise the testing of components, finished products, and systems
• Troubleshoot and debug BMS-related issues during the development, production, and field operation phases

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Mechatronics or Electrical Engineering
• 1-3 years of experience in a similar role including experience
• Understanding of electro-mechanical components
• Knowledge in designing safe high-voltage lithium-ion battery pack systems (automotive)
• Knowledge of various types of signal and power wires/cables as per industry standards
• Knowledge of standard automotive communication protocols (CAN, LIN, XCP, etc.)
• Understanding of electronics & automotive regulations and standards related to the field
• Knowledge of relevant industry standards like ISO 26262 for functional safety
