Google is hiring for the role of Senior Software Engineering Manager!

Responsibilities of the Candidate:

• Lead the team for managing engineers who function as a 'virtual device vendor' for Google Global Networks.
• Be responsible for hiring, coaching, and supporting leaders within the team.
• Motivate the team, foster a sense of ownership, define the mission, and rally the team to support it.
• Oversee networking technology, software development lifecycle, and software and hardware testing and validation at scale.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 8 years of experience with software development in one or more programming languages (e.g., Python, C, C++, Java, JavaScript).
• 5 years of experience in a technical leadership role overseeing projects, with 5 years of experience in a people management, supervision/team leadership role.
