Senior Software Engineer - Release Engineer Job in Gurgaon at Moody's

Moody's is hiring for the role of Senior Software Engineer - Release Engineer!

Responsibilities of the Candidate:

• Provide a superior customer experience in all interactions with stakeholders.
• Manage ticket inflow and work assignments for the team, providing daily reporting around the same.
• Work with other release teams in the resolution of conflicts that span multiple applications and/or platforms.
• Lead the service delivery of Release Management and Operational Support activities.
• Analyze highly complex application build, release, and deployment requirements and write technical specifications to design or re-design build, release, and deploy automation.
• Assist in the rollout and deployment of new product features, and deployment of applications via automation with configuration management tools.
• Coach and support Release engineer/s to enhance their ability to deploy the SaaS or On-Premise applications.
• Act as the first point of escalation and provide up-to-date status to all stakeholders including senior management on releases management function.
• Participate in project delivery and maintenance activities, lead project transition, and participate in project releases to enhance individual knowledge and build on the knowledge required to build the application.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• 5 + years of experience in Software Release, Dev-Ops, and support roles within the financial sector.
• 5+ years of experience in Project leadership is desirable.
• Expertise in DevOps tools stack (Bitbucket, Github, AutoRabit, SVN, Aldon, TFS, Jira, Jenkins, Urban Code, Nolio, and Puppet).
• Experience with multiple scripting languages (Bash, Python, PowerShell, Perl, etc.)
• Experience with REST APIs.
• Experience with Linux/Windows systems administration tasks.
• Salesforce Administration Certification preferred.
• Proven experience leading a team of release engineers and mentoring junior engineers.
• Complete understanding of the standard policy, ownership, and implementation of the Event, Incident, Request, Problem, Release, and Knowledge Management disciplines for various SaaS applications and third-party tools.
• Sound knowledge of different software workload automation and monitoring tools like (BMC Remedy, Control M, Tivoli Workload Scheduler, Nagios, and Splunk).
