Akamai's Global is hiring for the role of Senior Software Engineer II!

Responsibilities of the Candidate:

• Designing and implementing secure network architectures for new and existing products
• Developing and maintaining security guidelines, procedures and standards that can be implemented across the product
• Evaluating and recommending network and security technologies that align with industry best practices and regulatory standards.
• Identifying and mitigating network and security risks threats in current product architecture and implementation and suggest remedies.
• Reviewing code - C,C++, Python and Go and come up with standards and processes to code quality.

Requirements:

• Have Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
• 5-10 years of professional experience in network engineering and security roles
• Have good knowledge of networking protocols, including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs,
• Experience with VPN software, virtualized appliances on various hypervisors (VMware, Hyper-V) and cloud infrastructures (AWS, Azure, GCP) and identity and access protocols and software.
• Experience in multiple programming languages - C,C++, Python and Go with an alignment towards
• Experience in Analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex network and security issues
• Have Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
