Mastercard is hiring for the role of Senior Software Engineer - Hadoop & Spark Development!

Responsibilities of the Candidates:

• Develop, test, implement, document, maintain, and support systems application software in alignment with MasterCard standards and best practices
• Create high-quality, secure, and scalable software solutions within specified time and budget constraints
• Research, assess, and recommend technical solutions based on evolving business needs and emerging technologies
• Conduct feasibility studies, logic designs, and detailed systems flowcharting, including cost and time analysis
• Collaborate with project teams to meet scheduled due dates, identify emerging issues, and propose solutions independently
• Document software programs following Software Development Best Practices
• Assist Senior Team members in adapting documentation templates to project and technology requirements
• Contribute ideas to enhance standards and improve process efficiency
• Support the collection and reporting of project and software metrics
• Participate in on-call pager support rotation

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or Management Information Systems, or equivalent work experience
• Thorough understanding of Software Engineering Concepts and Methodologies
• Demonstrated proficiency in MC Core Competencies
• 2 to 5 years of experience in the software engineering field
• High-energy, detail-oriented, and proactive with the ability to perform under pressure in an independent environment
• Strong initiative and self-motivation, with a willingness to learn and tackle challenging opportunities
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, along with strong relationship, collaborative, and organizational skills
• Ability to work effectively as a member of a matrix-based, diverse, and geographically distributed project team
• Experience in Data Warehousing with a strong understanding of SQL, Hadoop, and Spark
• Familiarity with Unix, Scala, Python, or any programming language
• Basic understanding of Nifi or any orchestration tool
