Senior Software Engineer Job in Noida at Mediatek

MediaTek is hiring for the role of Senior Software Engineer!

Responsibilities of the Candidate:

• Responsible for board/device bring-up, analysing peripheral device driver requirements & system design.
• Handle USB/Sensor performance, power & stability functional issues and work with the customer to fix them.
• Refine Linux Kernel to provide the best performance on Google Android. 
• Port the latest Linux Kernel to MediaTek devices.

Requirements:

• Must have 3-5 years of S/W development experience
• Excellent C/C++ Programming Skills
• Should have experience in Linux Kernel programming and excellent debugging skills
• Should have expertise in one of the below domains:
  • Device drivers: Peripheral, like USB/UART/SD Card/eMMC/Sensor/Touch etc
  • Display: Preferably experience in LCM driver, Android's SurfaceFlinger & View framework.
  • Low Power: Preferably experience in Thermal, Clock management, PMIC, Charging, and
  • Knowledge of current consumption debugging
  • GPU: Good knowledge of Android Graphic Architecture, Game & benchmark performance.
  • Video: Good knowledge of video framework, Codecs, Codec driver etc.
  • System stability: Should know dump analysis using trace32 or gdb, experience in handling Kernel/Native exceptions, Interrupt handling, etc.
• Should be strong in operating system Concepts, Memory Management
• Experience with Android HAL is a plus
• Preferred to have worked on Android based Smart Phone Projects
• Experience with x86_64 and/or ARM/ARM64 architectures is a plus
• Open Source contributions to Linux, Kernel or interaction with the Open source community is a plus
• Strong Communication skills, Self-driven, Positive attitude & hardworking
