NIQ is hiring for the role of Senior Site Reliability Engineer!
Responsibilities of the Candidate:
- Work as part of the Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) team alongside the software engineering team to build and operate infrastructure for audience measurement (TV, Radio, Digital) across various countries
- Assess and analyze existing infrastructure to identify opportunities for improvement and optimization
- Act as a consultant to internal stakeholders, designing and implementing scalable, secure, reliable, and cost-efficient infrastructure solutions
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure infrastructure aligns with business goals and requirements
- Evaluate current architecture and operations to identify cost-saving opportunities
- Develop and implement cost reduction plans without compromising system performance or reliability
- Monitor and report on cost-saving initiatives and their impact on the overall budget
- Ensure high availability and reliability of systems through proactive monitoring and effective incident management
- Automate repetitive tasks to enhance efficiency and reduce the need for manual intervention
Requirements:
- Strong knowledge in managing and automation of Windows Server deployments
- Knowledge on the Linux platform
- Deep understanding of networking and TCP/IP
- Strong experience with AWS, VMware and Terraform
- Solid knowledge of technical architecture and modern design patterns
- Strong knowledge of a scripting language such as Powershell, Bash.
- Knowledge and working experience of MongoDB, MS SQL Server and RDS services
- Set up and supported CI/CD pipelines and tooling such as gitlab or github
- Good experience in monitoring, log aggregation and alerting tools (Datadog, Opsgenie)
- Experience with workflow management / processes like Airflow
- Some experience with Docker and preferably Kubernetes
- Experience working in production environment
