Senior Platform Engineer Job in Pune at Mastercard

Mastercard is hiring for the role of Senior Platform Engineer!

Responsibilities of the Candidate:

• Configuring, patching, upgrading, and optimizing database Oracle software and related products. 
• Participating and/or assisting the team in the development, maintenance, testing, implementation, and support of assigned database technologies and associated software products. 
• Monitoring and troubleshooting database issues escalated by the business team and internal monitoring in a timely manner with strong skills to drive to root cause and remediation of issues. 
• Creating and implementing the data definition language (DDL) to support development efforts. 
• Partnering with technology teams and customers to understand business needs and communicate solutions in business terms with mentoring.  
• Managing moderate to large projects/initiatives with specialized knowledge within assigned discipline.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's/Master's degree in Computer Science or any other relevant field.
• Strong experience in security, backup/recovery, architecture, networking, and administration for Oracle database disciplines.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills to promote Database Engineering in support of sound database structures, data governance, standards, and procedures for internal and external teams.
• Strong documentation skills to contribute to Database Engineering processes and procedures. 
• Must have knowledge of scripting tools like Shell script or automation tools like Python.
