Morningstar, Inc. is hiring for the role of Senior Operations Analyst!
Responsibilities of the Candidate:
- Being a part of the team that owns and executes the production processes for global clients on the Morningstar Publishing System, Media, and some of the other internal applications.
- Developing a thorough ownership and understanding of the product, process, and the clients one serves.
- Assuring the quality of the incoming and outgoing data to the Morningstar Publishing System.
- Working with external and internal project stakeholders to ensure the content of the produced publications matches the expected requirements.
- Working on preparing various reports on Morningstar Direct.
- Working closely with the data teams globally to coordinate and assist with ensuring data availability for our live clients.
- Identifying opportunities for improving operational efficiency and reducing operational risk through the automation of operational tasks and/or improvement of existing processes.
- Keeping documentation of the data processes up to date, and proactively ensuring that the operation risks are kept at a minimum.
- Working closely with the technology team to assist with new feature releases in the software product.
- Demonstrating a significant degree of experience in project and implementation management with the ability to manage multiple projects in various stages of their lifecycle.
Requirements:
- Demonstrating a significant degree of experience in project and implementation management with the ability to manage multiple projects in various stages of their lifecycle
- Good knowledge of various other financial products available in domestic as well as in International financial markets
- Ability to comprehend the basics of investing
- Good Understanding of financial ratios
- Should be well-versed with the basic knowledge of financial terms and financial concepts.
- A proven track record of managing client projects with contractual timelines and scope.
- Aptitude to learn new software and technical concepts
- Knowledge of Morningstar Direct basics will be a value add
- Excellent written and verbal communication and negotiation skills
- Proven ability to develop effective working relationships with both local and international stakeholders including the capabilities to develop rapport and establish trust
- Ease in dealing with ambiguity; ability to create focus and keep the team on track
- Educated to degree level, an advanced degree is a plus
- Minimum 2 + years of experience in the Finance domain (Mutual Fund/Capital Market)
