Schneider Electric is hiring for the role of Senior Mechanical Design Engineer!

Responsibilities of the candidate:

•  Lead the mechanical design process for end-to-end product development, incorporating plastics and
  industrial design principles.
•  Utilize 3D modeling tools, particularly Creo, to create detailed and precise designs.
•  Apply simulation concepts to validate and optimize mechanical designs for performance and
  reliability.
•  Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including industrial designers and embedded
  platform engineers.
•  Ensure designs align with tooling processes, considering manufacturability and scalability.
•  Provide hands-on expertise in prototype development and testing, iterating designs as needed.
•  Work closely with SE Industrial Design teams and end users to optimize usability and reliability
•  Contribute to design reviews, providing insights and recommendations for continuous improvement.
•  Stay updated on industry trends, materials, and manufacturing processes to enhance design
  capabilities.

Requirements:

•  Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
•  Proven experience in mechanical design with a focus on plastics, industrial design, and embedded
  platforms.
•  Solid hands-on experience with 3D modeling tools, particularly Creo/Solidworks.
•  Proficiency in applying simulation concepts to optimize mechanical designs.
•  Expertise in the tooling process, ensuring designs align with manufacturability requirements.
•  Demonstrated end-to-end product development experience.
•  Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail in design validation.
•  Excellent communication and collaboration skills in a cross-functional team environment.
