Responsibilities of the Intern:

• Scientific Expertise:
  • Maintain deep scientific knowledge within the therapeutic area.
  • Engage in continuous learning to provide accurate, unbiased medical and scientific information.
  • Establish credibility as a trusted resource for scientific experts.
• Customer Engagement:
  • Spend majority of time in field-based, customer-facing roles.
  • Support scientific experts with advanced disease state and product information.
  • Act as a liaison between Lilly and scientific experts to foster collaborations and deliver exceptional customer experiences.
• Strategic Vision and Leadership:
  • Synthesize complex data and share meaningful clinical insights with internal teams.
  • Solve problems creatively and utilize internal resources effectively.
  • Contribute to medical planning and strategy by collaborating across functions.
• Territory Management:
  • Develop and execute a strategic territory plan, prioritizing activities to maximize efficiency.
  • Take accountability for results while adhering to compliance and legal standards.
  • Use sound judgment in decision-making and escalate issues when necessary.

Requirements:

• Advanced degree in health sciences (PharmD, MD, PhD in a medically related field); preference for Medical Degree and/or relevant therapy area experience.
• Previous MSL or field-based experience building relationships with scientific experts and key opinion leaders.
• Experience meeting customer needs for complex information.
• Familiarity with health systems, academic communities, medical research, and medical education processes.
• Significant experience in professional networking with mutually beneficial outcomes.
• Willingness to travel up to 80% of the time, including weekends.

• Intellectual curiosity in the relevant field of science/medicine.
• Ability to learn and communicate complex scientific content effectively.
• Self-directed, capable of independently managing multiple priorities.
• Advanced presentation and computer skills, including literature search expertise.
• Strategic and critical thinking skills for analyzing and interpreting information.
• Proficiency in verbal and written communication in Arabic and English.
