Senior IO Engineer Consultant Job in Hyderabad at Optum

Optum is hiring for the role of Senior IO Engineer Consultant!

Responsibility of the Candidate:

• Working with Software Engineering teams; evaluate system specifications, provision and support delivery of application infrastructure
• Implement scalable AWS solutions using Kubernetes, Databases like PostgreSQL, MongoDB , AWS RDS as required
• Create and maintain IAC using Terraform 
• Implement and maintain configuration management using Ansible , Chef
• Utilize Splunk Observability / Dynatrace or equivalent for proactive monitoring and optimization of application performance
• Implement and manage Splunk for real-time log analysis and monitoring
• Collaborate with development teams to establish robust CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Action, TeamCity or Jenkins.
• Enhance incident response and system alerting strategies
• Drive security best practices to ensure compliance to Cloud Vulnerabilities 
• Evaluate emerging technologies to drive innovation in DevOps
• Administer Windows and Linux Servers including configuration, patching and ensure overall server health
• Participate in on – call rotation maintaining application availability 
• Comply with the terms and conditions of the employment contract, company policies and procedures, and any directives (such as, but not limited to, transfer and/or re-assignment to different work locations, change in teams and/or work shifts, policies in regards to flexibility of work benefits and/or work environment, alternative work arrangements, and other decisions that may arise due to the changing business environment).

Requirements:

• Undergraduate degree or equivalent experience
• DevOps experience with AWS, Kubernetes, PostgreSQL DB, MongoDB, Jenkins, Ansible, Terraform and Splunk
• Solid IaC background using Terraform for scalable infrastructure
• Expertise in Dynatrace, Splunk Observability or Equivalent for application performance optimization
• Familiarity with CI/CD tools(Jenkins , GitHub Actions or Teamcity) for streamlined software delivery
• Proficiency in Splunk setup and management for real-time monitoring
• Proven communication skills
• AWS/Azure, Terraform, or Splunk certifications
• Scripting Experience (Shell Scripting , PowerShell, Python etc.)
