HSBC is hiring for the role of Senior Enterprise Risk Manager!

Responsibilities of the Candidate:

• Responsible for governance and oversight over the concurrent audit activities including day-to-day monitoring, query resolution support, system access support, report issuance tracking, stakeholder engagement, running the concurrent audit governance forum, engagement with the Stakeholders and Regulators on an ongoing basis
• Support the preparation of the Risk Management Meeting / Exco papers
• Identify opportunities to enhance productivity and execution across Risk to ensure high-quality support and improved decision-making within the Risk Function and in support of the Businesses
• Support Head ERM in the management of various Group / Region / Country projects
• Maintain awareness of business, regulatory, and market issues, providing support for concurrent audit activities to enhance the deliverables
• Support Head ERM in the management of key regulatory reporting for the Bank and ensure regulatory requirements are fulfilled for relevant areas
• Improve risk metrics and measurements to enhance the effectiveness of Risk strategy initiatives, and ensure accurate documentation and reliable quality control procedures
• Support Head ERM in delivering risk stewardship activities for areas like Reputation Risk, Pension Risk, Insurable Risk, ICAAP Pillar 2 Assessment, etc. End-to-end support in the shaping and stewardship of these areas
• Support the paper preparations for RMM / Exco packs, review and challenge of same
• Ensure compliance with all Global Standards in addition to all applicable laws, regulations, compliance, and risk policies and procedures

Requirements:

• Experience in Audit/Risk/Controls/Operational Risk/Project Management
• Experience in handling concurrent auditor/audit management is desirable
• Experience in managing operational, people related issues as well as change delivery project
• Flexibility in approach to deliver in a job requirement that is evolving, and having a change the bank mindset to leading change delivery at country levels
• Communication and interpersonal skills, with the capacity to clearly articulate and manage risk issues as well as strategy
• Effective cooperation with the Global Businesses, Global Functions, DBS, and across all Risk/
• Audit teams in-country and Regional
• Proven ability to provide appropriate challenges to various Risk and Control Owners as well as Risk Stewards
• Strong understanding of HSBC Group strategies and experience in collaborating with business partners on strategic execution
• Demonstrated ability to assess internal and external risk trends, industry developments
