Ramboll is hiring for the role of Senior Engineer (Façade Access, Buildings Civils, REC)!

Responsibilities of the Candidate:

• Management your own projects, sustaining accountability for project delivery, quality and profitability.
• Work with a team of specialists in the field of façade access, allocating resources appropriately and coordinating tasks such that all deadlines are met.
• Façade access and fall protection system design including preparation of design stage reports, specifications and 2D/3D modelling, calculations, and analysis.
• Participation in workshops with clients and project stakeholders
• Site inspections and diagnostic work
• Contractor technical audits, tender and due diligence reviews
• Play a key role in maintaining the high-quality façade access and fall protection service offering.

Requirements:

• Degree qualified in either Structural or Mechanical Engineering, Architecture or other transferable engineering discipline.
• Holding or working towards Chartered engineer status
• Excellent knowledge of facade access and fall protection systems as well as construction techniques, procurement routes and the principles of working at height.
• Proven experience in a façade access and fall protection engineering role, with a demonstrable track record of developing façade access and fall protection, systems or strategies across a number of sectors such as residential, commercial, education.
• All round technical knowledge including structural analysis, facade access and fall protection systems, materials, specification, testing, and manufacturing.
• In-depth understanding and knowledge of relevant UK Regulations (e.g. Work at Height Regulations, LOLER, PUWER) as well as UK/EU Standards (e.g. BS 7883, BS 8610, BS EN 1808, BS EN 795)
• Proven experience with AutoCAD as well as 3D software such as RHINO or SOLIDWORKS
• Experience in carrying out factory inspections including witnessing equipment commissioning and testing.
• Proven Customer Relationship skills and experience, preferably in a Consultancy environment
• Very good communication skills in English, with the ability to clearly present and discuss concepts to clients and project stakeholders to advise on the optimum solution for a given building.
