Hero Motocorp is hiring for the role of Senior Engineer - Engine Design!

Responsibilities of the Candidate:

• Provides engine design related solutions, Implementation of core technical solutions meeting the CTQ targets for engine design projects
• Guidance in all technical issues and ensure know how enhancement to his team
• Risk Assessment
• Provides innovations and new technologies, ensures commonality compliant to HMCL strategy 
• Escalate in case of unresolvable conflicts of CTQ targets - Effective communication with senior management team for timely future decisions

Requirements:

• Solid internal combustion engine background
• Hands on expertise in design tools (CATIA and ProE)
• Understanding engine development process
• Understanding and experience in design methodology with frontloading
• Proven record of (substantial) work on gasoline and 2 wheeler engines
• Expertise in design for cost and production
• Proficiency in Drawing checking
• Knowledge/worked on fuel injected engines
• Expertise of working in a global context and across continents
• Strong technical exposure to motorcycle engines and transmission
• Sound knowledge on global technology trends
• High level of production/manufacturing understanding
• Keen on new ideas and technologies
• Dynamic and proactive work approach
• Familiar and experienced in using project management tools
• Understanding time and cost implications and its control
• Experienced in handling suppliers and internal/external customers
