Senior Engineer - Design Job in Chennai at Larsen & Toubro

Larsen & Toubro is hiring for the role of Senior Engineer - Design!

Responsibilities of the Candidate:

• Carry out Naval architectural design and calculations such as hull form development, intact & damaged stability, resistance & propulsion, ship strength, seakeeping, manoeuvring, freeboard, gross tonnage etc., using software and also manually where applicable. Knowledge on appendages of Ship.
• Prepare technical specifications in respect of model tests and evaluate vendor offers, leading to selection & finalization of specifications ensuring 100% compliance to the customer, class and statutory requirements.
• Knowledge of Classification Society rules (LR, IRS, ABS etc.).
• Conduct sea trials of ships such as inclining experiment, speed trials, manoeuvring trials etc..
• Candidate shall be from a Ship Design/ Shipbuilding/ related industry with above experience. Experience of working on Defence projects is preferable. 

Requirements:

• Minimum qualification in Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech) or Master of Technology (M.Tech).
