Whirlpool Corporation is hiring for the role of Senior Engineer!
Responsibilities of the Candidate:
- Conduct and support idea generation workshops to develop Cost & Quality pipeline
- Scope ideas in order to understand project feasibility (technical/financial)
- Understand Service Incident Rate (SIR) information and execute Quality projects
- Analyze Bill of Materials (BOM) information to generate cost ideas
- Deliver Cost and Quality assigned targets
- Execute cost and quality projects following the Whirlpool Product Development (WPD) methodology
- Create Engineering changes & Able to make BOM changes in Windchill / SAP
- Create FMEA ( Failure Modes and Effect Analysis)
- Create DVP&R (Design Validation Plan & Report)
- Create work plans/ schedules to complete projects and introduce changes into production
- Support Change Notices for project execution
- Interact with internal and external stakeholders as part of the project execution ( Suppliers, Procurement, Subsystems, Manufacturing, Marketing, Quality)
- Ability to utilize analytical skills and proactive self-management to meet and exceed goals
Requirements:
- Project Management – Ability to lead/close multiple Cost & Quality projects at the same time
- Conceptual & Analytical Skills with Expert in project planning & management.
- Knowledge in parts design, its processes and material
- Knowledge in GD&T, Design Standards, variation analysis
- Knowledge in APQP, OPEX/Six Sigma methodologies /Lean tools and practices.
- Knowledge in SAP/Windchill & CAD tools (Creo)
