Arrow Electronics is hiring for the role of Senior Engineer!

Responsibilities of the Candidate:

• Responsible for the design and development of real-time embedded software/firmware and PC/mobile-based software applications.
• To Analyse domain-specific technical or low-level requirements and modification as per end customer or system requirements.
• Participate in high-level requirements analysis, High-level and low-level software design
• Perform software testing including unit, functional and system-level requirements including manual and automated
• Performs code review following coding guidelines and static code analysis
• Troubleshoots software problems of limited difficulty.
• Documenting technical deliverables like software specifications, design documents, code commenting, test cases, test reports, Release notes etc. throughout the project life cycle.
• Follow the defined process for the Software Development life cycle.
• Develops software solutions from established programming languages or by learning new languages required for specific projects.
• Develop new approaches to complex design problems.
• Responsible for mentoring and training juniors as per the project requirement.

Requirements:

• Strong knowledge of Linux device drivers, Linux Kernel Programming
• Experience with Yocto SDK, Yocto Recipe, Layers
• Experience adding new machine support in the Yocto build system, and upgrading Yocto from one version to another.
• Experience working with development tools like GIT, SVN, and JIRA.
• Experience working with different embedded microprocessors based on Qualcomm, TI, NXP, NVIDIA, Intel or similar.
• Experience in Board support package, Device driver, and boot loader development/porting
• Strong sense of ownership, passionate, fast learner, analytical mindset, perfection seeker.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
