Senior Designer - Civil and Structural Job in Mumbai at Petrofac Engineering Services

Petrofac is hiring for the role of Senior Designer - Civil and Structural!

Responsibilities of the Candidate:

• Operate as part of a team in the design and drafting activities, producing 3D models, Technical Drawings, Quantity estimates, and technical drawings in support of engineering, procurement, fabrication, and construction activities. Lead and guide junior designers
• Develop Civil and Structural bills of material; Prepare Layouts and detail drawings
• Lead and guide junior designers
• 3D modeling of RCC foundations, Piles, Pile caps, and Structural Steel using Tekla, Extraction of GA drawings
• Development of RCC details, Base plate and Anchor bolts, and Bill of material
• 3D modeling, drawing extractions, and Development of Structural Steel details, Piperack’s, Technological Structures, Shelters, Grade Mounted platforms, Vessel mounted platforms, Pipe supports, Equipment foundations, Roads, and Drains
• Perform calculations and layouts including 2D and 3D models with adequate dimensions necessary to assist the Engineering disciplines and Fabrication/Construction personnel including preparation of topographic layouts, earthworks/excavation drawings, boreholes locations, fencing, paved roads, and drainage, underground piping and foundations, architectural and conceptual building drawings, control room layouts, substation layouts, machinery shelters, service platforms, pipe racks, pump foundations, vessel, and vessel platform foundations, columns and other Civil/structural drawings
• Perform layout clash/interface checks, identify conflicts, and take corrective action in coordination with other engineering discipline inputs
• Issue engineering drawings and layouts for Inter-Discipline Checks (IDCs) coordinate with other engineering disciplines in the integration of technical data inputs
• Prepare final layouts and drawings integrating inputs provided by other engineering disciplines Consult and make recommendations to Engineers on the feasibility of design plans and layouts
• Estimation and preparation of material take-offs (MTOs), reviewing vendor drawings, and ensuring vendor specifications are in full compliance with contract/project requirements
• Prepare Red-line markups and resolution of site queries from Construction and fabrication shop queries/TQs
• Preparation of detailed sketches to support the resolution of site and fabrication queries
• Updation of model
• Prepare “As-Built” Drawings following the completion of construction activities

Requirements:

• Must – ACAD, Tekla, and Navisworks software
• Added advantage – S3D, PDMS, and E3D
• Taking Clash reports and their resolution
