Senior Designer Job in Pune at Danfoss

Danfoss is hiring for the role of Senior Designer!

Responsibilities of the Candidate:

• Perform product customization & release engineering documents for customer, production & pricing. 
• Manage Engineering Change requests and maintain revision control via PDM /PLM tools.
• Evaluate and support manufacturing, supplier and customer requests.
• Application of Geometric dimensions and tolerance on component and assembly drawings.
• Develop assembly and component drawings for as per ASME and Danfoss standards.
• Sizing of hydraulic components like piston pumps based on application inputs.
• Design of castings and forgings as per ASME and Danfoss standards.
• Plan own work to meet priorities to meet On-time delivery and quality.
• Communicate, work & understand cross functional and global team.
• Lead the continuous improvement of engineering change management processes and tools.
• Performs quality checks to ensure the design meets Danfoss and customer standards/requirements.
• CAD- supports new product development and VA/VE projects.
• Study and keep abreast with engineering analysis of hydraulic products and components.

Requirements:

• Diploma in Mechanical Engineering
• 1+ years of product customization and design experience
• Expertise in 3D CAD tools – NX, ProE, Solid Works etc.
• Knowledge of the Engineering change management process
• Experience on PDM / PLM tools like Enovia, Team Center etc.
• Knowledge of ASME and ISO standards
• Knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerance (GD&T) and Stack Up analysis
• Awareness of Root Cause Analysis, 8D methodology awareness
• Awareness of casting, forging, machining, and inspection processes
• NX Team Center, Pro/E Wildfire 3.0/5.0 and AutoCAD 2008+ working experience
• Knowledge of piston pumps and motor design will be added advantage
• Exposure to manufacturing processes, tool design, DMAIC, Lean
• Understanding of a Hydraulics circuit.
