RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Architect & Own End-to-End Vision Systems: Lead the design and implementation of complex pipelines for tasks such as object detection, instance segmentation, industrial anomaly detection, and vision-based reasoning - ensuring high reliability and low latency.
• Drive Project Execution & Technical Roadmap: Translate ambiguous business goals into a clear technical strategy and execution plan. Own major modules from concept to deployment, manage timelines, and proactively eliminate roadblocks.
• Bridge Research and Production: Spearhead the transition of algorithms from Python/PyTorch experimentation to optimized C++ implementations running on edge GPUs via tools like TensorRT, ONNX, and GStreamer pipelines.
• Collaborate Across Functions: Serve as a key technical voice in cross-disciplinary discussions with product managers, sales teams, and systems engineers to define and refine what’s technically feasible.
• Define Long-Term Data & Model Strategy: Influence core strategy for data acquisition, synthetic data generation, active learning, and the creation of robust validation frameworks that reflect real-world edge cases.
• Act as a Force Multiplier: Mentor fellow engineers through exemplary code, rigorous design reviews, and clear documentation. Be a technical anchor who elevates the team and sets a high bar for engineering excellence

REQUIREMENTS:

• Experience: 6–10 years of professional experience, with a demonstrable track record of architecting and shipping at least two complex CV systems from concept to production.
• Deep CV Expertise: Hands-on architectural experience in one or more areas such as multi-object tracking in cluttered scenes, low-data regimes, object detection, or semi unsupervised learning approaches.

Production Engineering Excellence:

• Procient in high-level scripting for rapid prototyping (Python, PyTorch/TensorFlow) and in low-level, performance-critical implementations (Modern C++, CUDA).
• Experience deploying and optimizing models for real-time, low-latency inference on edge devices is essential.
• Systems-Level Thinking: Proven ability to design across the entire ML lifecycle: data pipelines, model optimization, deployment containers, and in-field monitoring/diagnostics. You think about bottlenecks, fault tolerance, and scalability instinctively.
• Thrives in Ambiguity: Demonstrated success in fast-paced, resource-constrained startup environments where you navigated ambiguity and delivered results with a high degree of autonomy.
• Comfort with MLOps practices: CI/CD for models, data and model versioning, automated testing, ML lifecycle management, and experiment tracking.
• Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in CS, EE, or a related field, with strong foundations in linear algebra, machine learning, 3D geometry, and algorithms.

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:

• Familiarity with NVIDIA DeepStream and GStreamer frameworks.
• Experience with LLMs, VLMs, or agentic AI systems.
• Contributions to open-source CV/ML projects.
