Senior Business Intelligence Analyst Job in Hyderabad at AMD - Advanced Micro Devices

AMD is hiring for the role of Senior Business Intelligence Analyst!

Responsibilities of the Candidate:

• Work with business partners to understand data analytics requirements and implement reports, extracts, visualizations, dashboards, or other data presentations to meet these needs using Microsoft Power BI, SAP Analysis for Office, Excel, or other tools as may be required.
• Work with businesses to automate analytics that are done manually in Excel today.
• Ask questions to go beyond the initial asks from business partners and understand their desired result, then work to enable that result.
• Mentor business partners in the use of the data warehouse and reporting infrastructure to enable self-service BI.
• Collaborate closely with data modelers and data pipeline developers to communicate data warehouse requirements to meet analytical needs and to ensure that the resulting models are well-structured to support the necessary analytics in a business-friendly manner.
• Provide people management for other team members associated with BI development.

Requirements of the Candidate:

• Expert skills in Microsoft Power BI, including an understanding of Microsoft tabular models, DAX, and Power BI Security.
• Experience in building tabular models using Microsoft SQL SSAS highly desirable.
• Experience in building reporting templates in Excel using SAP Analysis for Office is a plus.
• Strong native SQL experience.
• Experience in working with financial information in SAP is a plus.
• Excellent communication & Microsoft Office skills.
• Passion for attention to detail & organizing information.
• Ability to drive to tight deadlines as a part of a global, horizontal team
• Experience in building and leading teams.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Information Science, or related disciplines. Relevant experience will also be considered if the degree is in other areas.
