Diligent Corporation is hiring for the role of Senior Data Engineer!

Responsibilities of the Candidate:

• Help develop, maintain, and support an enterprise-wide data warehouse system complete with user-friendly, well-documented datasets  
• Collaborate with analytics and business teams to create data tables and views that provide clear and actionable data to our data visualization team, increasing data accessibility and fostering data-driven decision-making across the organization 
• Improve & optimize current live ETL flows 
• Implement scalable solutions that align to our data governance standards and architectural roadmap for data integrations, data storage, reporting, and analytical solutions 
• Troubleshoot data-related issues as they occur & implement scalable solutions  
• Assist our Data Analysts in deploying data visualization dashboards  

Requirements:

• 3+ years of experience working in a data engineering capacity – partnering with business or analytics team users, developing ETL flows, requirements, and documentation 
• 3+ Years of practical SQL experience, including common table expressions, rank & window functions, complex case statements, pivoting, and the ability to understand pre-existing code written by others 
• 3+ years of Snowflake Development Experience 
• 2+ years with ETL tools, like debt, apteryx 
• 1+ years of Python 
• Firm grasp of advanced Excel and data analysis techniques 
• Data visualization tool experience such as Tableau or Power BI preferred 
• Strong experience with ETL processes, bringing in data from a 3rd party starting point and seamlessly integrating it as part of a finished polished dataset 
• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science / Engineering / Information Technology preferred. 
• Experience with SaaS, or in a Sales or customer-facing organization is preferred 
• Experience with source systems tools such as Salesforce, Google Analytics, NetSuite, Oracle HCM, etc.  
• Experience working directly with stakeholders and ability to take direction and feedback to create actionable datasets that meet their needs 
• Process-oriented with great documentation skills 
• Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills 
• A high degree of intelligence, natural curiosity, and a strong work ethic 
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, results-oriented, collaborative environment 
• Strong written and verbal skills and ability to communicate at technical and business levels
