Mercedes Benz is hiring for the role of Senior Backend Developer!  

Responsibilities of the Candidate:

• Create, test, and validate technical designs and concepts
• Revise the product backlog together with the PO
• Develop cross-team architecture patterns and ensure that they are adhered to
• Develop an IT architecture based on the technical requirements of Mercedes-Benz
• Challenge and refine the technical requirements
• Identify potential for improvement and documentation/coordination of the reduction of technical debt
• Lead the architecture round
• Advice on the implementation of new requirements and analysis of technical feasibility
• Contact person for the development team for specific questions about the technical implementation
• Analyse, conception, evaluation, and use of new (IT) technologies/services
• Derivate recommendations for strategic development measures taking into account the highly complex system architecture, the high number of interfaces, and the technology. Assessment of potential and risks of new technologies/services/components/requirements.

Requirements:

• In-depth understanding of computing, storage, and network components including backup, monitoring, and DR environment requirements. Experience and understanding of large-scale applications portfolio in enterprise-wide environment required. 
• Deep domain expertise in cloud application development solutions (e.g. IaaS, Serverless, APIManagement), container orchestration (e.g. Kubernetes, Cloud Foundry), continuous integration technologies (e.g. Jenkins, Spinnaker, AWS for DevOps, Chef, Puppet), web application server technologies, cloud application design, software architecture and practices(design/development/deployment, Agile, SCRUM, ALM), breadth of technical experience, and technical aptitude to learn and adjust to new technologies and cloud trends required.
• AWS Services (EC2, RDS, S3, VPCs and all core services, Lambda, API Gateway, CloudFormation, Fargate, CloudWatch, Route53...), CI CD (AWS stack, CircleCI, GitHub, Travis)
